Hotel Playa Azul is a 2 Star Official Accredited Hotel
Description: During the winter of 2009, the Hotel Playa Azul has undergone a full refurbishment including a brand new, fabulous, outdoor swimming pool, overlooking stunning views of the bay and stylish, contemporary guest rooms. Popular with both families and couples this is a great choice for a relaxing holiday. In a privileged position on a hilltop, overlooking the rocky headland and sea is the Hotel Playa Azul. Just 200 metres away from the sandy beach, which is down a set of steep steps, the panoramic views are amazing. Located near to the commercial centre, the local shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife of Cala'n Porter are all within walking distance of the hotel, and downtown Mahon is just a short bus ride away. Meals are taken in the main buffet restaurant, serving a good variety of local and international dishes, with breakfast from 08.00-10.00, lunch 13.00-15.00, and dinner from 19.30-21.30 and until 22.00 in July and August. Snacks are served in between meal times from the poolside bar, with coffee, cakes and pastries available in the afternoon. Locally produced alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served from the bar between 10.00 and 23.00. On the nearby beach, there are sunbeds, parasols and equipment for water sports for rent and there is a free playground area for children.Overlooking amazing views of the bay, the freeform outdoor pool is of a good size and has a smaller, separate pool for children, with sun loungers and parasols set out on the surrounding sun terrace. All guest rooms have been refurbished this winter to a high standard, and include a private bathroom, satellite TV, telephone, safety deposit box (payable locally) air conditioning and a balconyterrace.
Directions: 1- Departure from Maó Airport direction to Ciutadella.2- Continue straight on approximately 2 km until the first roundabout.3- Take the third exit on the right direction to Cala'n Porter. 4- Continue straight on along the Maó Cala'n Porter road during 1,7 km.5- Cross the village of San Clemente along the main street and continue straight on until you arrive at Cala'n Porter.6- When you are in Cala'n Porter, continue straight on along the Central Avenue.7- Turn right on the Paseo de MarÃtim and continue to Passeig Maritim.8- Turn right on the Calle de Barrera9- 500 meters away you will find on the left the Hotel Playa Azul.
